وفاداری بیتا نسبت به خدا علیرغم جفاهای زیاد و زندانی شدنش

Bita’s testimony of faithfulness to God despite persecutions:Bita is 47 years old, she came to know the Lord 20 years ago. She has a 10-year-old son and lives in Germany right now.

Following her conversion, she had a great passion to serve the Lord. She used to go to the streets of Isfahan (where she lived) every day for about a month and a half, asking God to use her for a ministry. She eventually found an orphanage and believed that God wanted her to work in that orphanage. But God put it in her heart that she had to start an orphanage on her own. She did not feel confident about this call of God as she did not have means of doing that. But God miraculously provided for this need. She managed to rent a house and looked after 12 orphan girls who were severely hurt emotionally and mentally. God was taking care of the physical and emotional needs of these girls.

About 13 years later, one morning 5 secret police members stormed into her flat. They forced her to follow them. At this difficult time, she knelt on her knees, praying to God asking him not to let her fall into the temptation of denying her Lord. She was very scared of the police. They took her to the prison in Isfahan and confiscated the orphanage. She spent one and a half month in solitary confinement. She was under much mental and spiritual pressure there. They accused her of getting support from American churches and charities towards running the orphanage. After one of the interrogations, they took her to the top of a staircase whilst blindfolded, they then pushed her backwards. She rolled down the stairs backwards.

Her back got severely damaged. Since then she has had severe back pains. The prison she stayed at is one of the worst prisons in Iran where there are many criminals. During her imprisonment, she raised many questions to God about her situation. But despite the difficult time, she eventually had a deep encounter with God in the prison. One day she went to the hallway of the prison asking God to use her in the prison. God put it in her heart to go to the women and children’s section of the prison. She ministered to the kids up to the age of 3.

One year later she was miraculously released from the prison. She eventually left Iran and moved to Germany with her son who is 10 years old now. She is still having a difficult time in the camp where she is staying in addition to the severe back pains that she suffers from constantly. The personal devotional times she has with God along studying the word of God have been great source of comfort to her. She believes the basic teachings of the Christian faith that she learnt from her ex pastor in Iran, have led her to grow in her Christian faith.

She believes that despite feeling desperate and anxious at times, she holds on to God and tries to strengthen herself in his presence whilst facing an unknown future. Praise God for her deep faith in God and for her perseverance despite persecution.
